Ireland: Young adults invited to share stories in Knock


If you are 18 - 30 years old, you are welcome to a faith gathering of young adults Dare to Hope that will be held at Knock Shrine on 14 June, and hosted by the Irish Bishops' Conference in collaboration with Knock Shrine. Please Save the Date!

This dynamic and prayerful gathering will involve expert speakers, sharing faith experiences and conclude with Mass to be celebrated by Bishop Fintan Gavin, Bishop of Cork & Ross, at the Basilica of Our Lady. For those attending places can be booked for €20, and the event will be held in the Youth Village at the International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine in Knock.

Speaking ahead of the young adult faith gathering in Knock, Bishop Gavin - who also serves as chair of the Bishops' Council for Pastoral Renewal and Adult Faith Development - said, "In a world where young people are searching for purpose and belonging, this gathering offers a space to encounter Christ, explore faith, and find hope together in community. All are welcome."

The keynote address will be delivered by Father Conor McDonough OP, a Dominican priest and theology lecturer, well-known for his engaging approach to Scripture and mission in today's world.

Throughout the day interactive and reflective workshops will include:

Serving Jesus on the Edge
Breaking Open the Word of God
How to Speak About Our Faith
Reconciliation Service
